There are many factors to consider for running your language business online. Here are some questions you may ask yourself first.
- Do you own and control your data? Find out if the platform holds back user data or branding, or limits what content you can create.
- Is it simple to set up? It helps to have access to tools and resources to get started quickly, unless you are an experienced developer.

- How is Immersio different from other platforms?

- Can I make my entire website with Immersio?
Yes. We made Immersio’s platform as the first language teaching platform purpose built for creating, speaking, and teaching your content. Our purpose is to remove hassle and provide a single, integrated platform to let you easily expand your instruction online and get blended learning done right for everyone involved. This means you don’t need any technical or web design experience to create your own branded site, and we are constantly upgrading our tools to continue simplifying the process. At any time you can feel free to text, email, or book a call with our support team as you grow. We’re here to help you every step of the way.
- How do I put my content on Immersio?
Your Immersio subscription comes with our Course Creator, which provides you the three steps of creating the syllabus, dialogs, and inputs for every course, plus the MyDrive asset library for storing your media. All new users, regardless of experience, are also encouraged to work through our Immersio Academy onboarding program to get started right away and maximize the platform’s potential for expanding your instruction online. That said, you may still have questions about how to bring your unique content to Immersio and make it interactive and conversational. Pricing
- How much does Immersio cost?
The purpose of Immersio is to help you easily expand your language instruction online, and we’ve built our platform to minimize the risk for you to start partnering with us. This is why we offer a simple “pay as you grow” subscription where your cost is based on the number of students enrolled on your site. For the cost for your situation see our Plans page. In turn, Immersio sets no limit on what subscription or tutor rates your students pay or how your tutors are compensated. Note that the annual payment plan is the best value with 25% off the quarterly plan.
- Does Immersio take a cut of my sales?
No. Immersio provides a payment gateway, but does not charge for any subscription fees you charge your student or any tutoring sessions you manage. We want to see you keeping every penny you earn as you expand your instruction online and generate more revenue.
- What do I get with a free trial?
Everything. The trial is intended to provide a risk-free time period to make sure Immersio’s platform fits your needs to help you grow right away. During your trial period we highly encourage you to complete our Immersio Academy onboarding program, and make full use of our Support team to handle any questions you may have.
- Are there any discounts for Indigenous communities or other non-profit organizations?
Our vision is to create a world where “any language can be learned and spoken by anyone.” To this end our platform exists to democratize language learning for all and remove any barriers to teaching and learning another language. - Do you have a money back guarantee?
Yes because subscription comes with a one month trial before payment is due. That said, we are fully confident of the value Immersio brings to help you expand your instruction online, and we want all our instructors and schools to be able to realize their growth potential risk-free. - Can I see a demo of the platform?
Yes. First of all, our Features page highlights the main benefits and capabilities of the platform, Second, we created the publicly accessible Demo site for you to quickly see what a fully functional site looks like and how it works to create your own courses and content. Once you are satisfied we recommend you get started with a free trial and begin our onboarding program.
- I don’t have any technical expertise. Should I use Immersio?
Yes. The purpose of Immersio is to empower any language instructor, regardless of technical skills, to expand their instruction online and easily turn their content into interactive, conversational learning experiences that can be shared. This is why we provide our onboarding program, technical support, and guided platform to get you started right away. That said, questions and difficulties inevitably arise, so for any issue please contact our Support team for help at any time.
- I don’t have a large audience yet. When should I get started?
Right now. Immersio offers a unique “pay-as-you-go” service fee that is prorated per student. This means whether you are beginning with 10 students or 100 students or more, you only pay for what you use. To see your estimated profit, see the calculator on our Pricing page.
- Will I retain ownership of my learner data and content?
Yes. Immersio’s goal is to democratize language learning for all, and this means making sure instructors are in full control of their unique content and there are no barriers to serving their students. This means Immersio never claims any intellectual property rights over your content and it is 100% yours.
- I already have a website. Can I use it alongside Immersio?
Yes. Immersio provides you with your own custom branded subdomain that you can use for creating courses, practicing, coordinating teaching sessions, and more. So, you may choose to use your Immersio site for language instructional purposes only to complement your other website. If you would value advice or support for navigating this decision, feel free to reach out to our Support team.
- How do my students and I access funds and make payments?
At Immersio we make it easy to charge and receive payments through integrations with Stripe and PayPal, which are two of the most widely used payment processors. If you don’t have one, simply create a Stripe or PayPal account, and then with one click you can connect your account. Then funds will go directly into your Stripe or PayPal account for instant access.

Working with drills for lesson content
- How many types of drills are available for lesson creation?
There are 6 types of drills available for lesson creation: Flashcard, Drag and Drop, Drag the Words, Multiple Choice, Sort the Paragraph, and Listen and Fill in the Blank.
- What is a Flashcard drill used for, and how do I create one for my lesson?
Flashcard Drill is used to drill students’ memory on how to write vocabulary. Here is how to use our template:
– First, you need to provide instructions for your students (For example: Put this word in the right order of spelling).
– Second, each card needs to have the written form of the word in the target language along with an image.
– Third, you can provide the same written form in the target language or in the International Phonetic to help your students memorize.
– Finally, after finishing all the cards, save the changes and click on the eye icon to preview your drill. - What is a Drag And Drop drill used for, and how do I create one for my lesson?
Drag and Drop is used to drill students' memory regarding vocabulary via related images. Here is how to use our template:
- First, you need to provide instructions for your students (for example: Drag the appropriate words to the right boxes).
- Second, you need to provide each word with a relevant image (400px x 400px). Note that all new words input in the vocabulary tab will be automatically generated in the Drag and Drop drill to save your time. And then provide the written word for each image.
- Finally, save the changes and click on the eye icon to preview the drill. - What is a Drag the Words drill used for, and how do I create one for my lesson?
Drag The Words drill is used to drill students' memory toward a word or phrase in a contextual paragraph. Here is how to use our template:
- First, you need to provide instructions for your students (for example: Drag and drop the correct words into the blanks).
- Second, you need to provide each box with a short paragraph.
- Third, mark all the words that you want your students to drag in that paragraph with the *..* tag. These marked words will be randomly shuffled and placed at the bottom of the drill.
- Finally, save the changes and click the eye icon to preview the drill. - What is a Multiple Choice drill used for, and how do I create one for my lesson?
Multiple choice drill is used to drill the understanding of targeted language statements toward contextual questions or situations. Here is how to use our template:
- First, you need to provide instructions for your students (for example: Choose the correct answers for the following questions).
- Second, you need to add all the questions for your drill.
- Third, on each question, you need to provide a few answers, one of which will be marked as correct.
- Finally, save the changes and click the eye icon to preview the drill. - What is a Sort The Paragraph drill used for, and how do I create one for my lesson?
Sort the Paragraph drill is used to drill the memory of the whole conversation in an orderly manner. Here is how to use our template:
- First, you need to provide instructions for your students (for example: Sort the paragraphs in the correct order).
- Second, you need to provide all the paragraphs that you need your students to sort out.
- You can add as many paragraphs as you want, just make sure that the order of each line in the paragraph is correct.
- Finally, save the changes and click the eye icon to preview the drill.
(*)Please note that this drill should only be placed near the end of the lesson when students have already learned and understood the dialogue. - What is a Fill In The Blank drill used for, and how do I create one for my lesson?
Fill in the Blank drill is used to drill the listening skill toward the whole conversation. Here is how to use our template:
- First, you need to provide instructions for your students (for example: Listen and fill in the blanks with the correct words).
- Second, you need to provide specific instructions for each listening task, then upload an audio file.
- Third, you need to provide a corresponding text paragraph for the audio.
- Fourth, mark all the words that you want your students to fill in the blanks with in that paragraph with the *..* tag. These marked words will be randomly shuffled and placed at the bottom of the drill.
- You can add as many listening tasks as you want, just make sure that the paragraph text is correct and the hidden words are marked.
- Finally, save the changes and click the eye icon to preview the drill.
(*)Please note that this drill should only be placed at the end of the lesson when students have already learned and understood the dialogue.
